Hello!
Now, after a decade in the field as a Registered Master’s level Social Worker specializing in supporting individuals and their family members with healing including substance abuse, trauma, domestic violence, and complex mental health disorders either diagnosed or presumed while working within a harm reduction framework. Together we will create a tailored therapeutic plan incorporating the variety of counselling techniques I am experienced in including CBT, EMDR, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Play Therapy as they suit you or your child’s specific situation.
On a personal note, I am a married mother of two, an avid gardener, cook, and empathic nature enthusiast who can often be found hiking or meditating along the Bruce Trail with our 2 dogs. I truly love where we live and being born and raised here in the Grey Bruce area gives me firsthand experience to understand both the area’s beauty and unique challenges that come with growing up in our rural community.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to live up to their true potential and I look forward to talking with you to discover if I am the right fit to help you align with the authentic life you deserve to be living.
With gratitude,
Amanda Philp.
I am Amanda Philp and I am thankful to see you are here taking the time to learn about your potential counsellor. It shows me you are already being intentional about finding the right person to help you or your family member. Finding the right connection is incredibly important as you embark on your healing journey.
I believe everyone has moments throughout our lives where we need a helping hand. I am a counsellor today because I got help when I needed it. Seeing the transformative power that therapy can provide when we find the right person to guide us inspired me to want to help others regain balance and wellness in their lives.
